Undergraduate Researcher from SoMAS Lab Honored by URECA
Miguel Lopez, a computer engineering major, who has been working in SoMAS Assistant Professor Daniel Knopf's laboratory since 2007, was selected as researcher of the month by Stony Brook University's Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (URECA).
This year, Miguel received a URECA 09 summer fellowship award to fund his research on the effect of biomass burning aerosols on cloud formation and its impact on climate changes. He recently co-authored a paper with his mentor Daniel Knopf that was published in the journal Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics.
