I am currently the building manager for the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS). In this position I administer, repair, and maintain the physical infrastructure of the SoMAS buildings and grounds on the South Campus of Stony Brook University. I work with faculty and staff on infrastructure and equipment purchases, upgrades, and modifications and oversee the work to completion. Working with other University departments, staff, and faculty I work to maintain and upgrade laboratory and general safety and security for the School. I am the SoMAS representative on the University Laboratory Safety Council. I also oversee operations in SoMAS’s machine and carpentry shops.

Previously, I spent the 26 years as the Field Support Technician at the Marine Sciences Research Center and then at the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. I received my Masters of Marine Environmental Science degree from Stony Brook University and my Bachelor of Science degree from Bucknell University.
